Different Forms of Pins and Their Impact
1.Heat Treatment Methods for Pins
Through Hardening: This treatment enhances the strength and toughness of
pins, reducing the risk of deformation or fracture under high loads. It is
especially important for applications involving high impact loads.
(Materials suitable for through Hardening are medium-carbon steel and
medium-carbon alloy steel.)
Case Hardening: Case Hardening improves the surface hardness of pins,
increasing wear resistance and extending service life. This treatment is
particularly suitable for high-wear environments. (Materials suitable for
case Hardening are low-carbon steel and low-carbon alloy steel.)
2.Surface Coating of Pins
Zinc Plating (ZP): Electroplated zinc provides basic corrosion protection,
making it suitable for general environments. However, it may not suffice in
highly corrosive conditions.
Nickel Plating (NP): Similar in corrosion resistance to ZP, NP offers a
better appearance.
CRF Coating: Similar in appearance to ZP but provides excellent corrosion
resistance, making it ideal for use in highly corrosive environments.
